These pages are dedicated to showing the many different types of plates that Maryland currently issues. Since the Maryland MVA does not have such a page, I have started slowly collecting the images in my spare time. Please check back often as I try to add new photos each week. While most states offer special license plates to various organizations, colleges, etc, I believe Maryland has gone a step further, issuing such types as Beekeeper's Assn, the Armenian Assn of Baltimore, and the Baltimore American Indian Center. Many people have asked me for help in obtaining special Maryland plates for their collections. As much as I enjoy helping other collectors, Maryland makes it prohibitively difficult to collect their types as previous plates MUST be turned in prior to receiving new ones. The only time you can keep your old plates is when they expire, which is every two years now in Maryland. Sorry!
With a few exceptions, I do not have information on how to order the plates listed on these pages. If I do have the info, you will see a link next to the listing; if not, I suggest contacting the respective organizations directly. You can always try to reach someone in the Organizational Plate Division of the MVA - just call the main number at 1-800-950-1MVA. I'm sorry I can't be of more help, but there are just too many to keep up with!
